We've
created a new and exciting menu of project-based classes just for
you! We hope you're inspired by our new projects; many of which are
super easy once you get the hang of it! Learn a new technique and
broaden your knowledge all while making new friends who share the
same interests as you!
CLASS SCHEDULES FOR 2010:
A note about our classes...most classes are $35 plus the cost of
materials. There are some exceptions to that and those are noted.
Also, some classes require "homework" and those are noted as well.
As always, we are happy to schedule private instruction around your
schedule. Private classes are $30 an hour and many people find those
to be most beneficial when you make a "hit list" of what you want to
learn. We're here to help and inspire you, so please, if you have
any questions, just ask!

MITERED SQUARES
This looks difficult but is so easy! Miters are fun to make into
sweaters like this one or use them for any project! If you can knit,
you can handle this class so don’t let it intimidate you!
SEA LETTUCE SCARF
This imaginative project can be worked up with any yarn and
corresponding needle size. Choose to make it with fun, glitzy yarn
or even with dazzling beads! It's a great way to learn Short-Row
shaping, a handy technique.
LEARN THE LIZARD RIDGE
Perhaps the most popular pattern on the
net! Learn to make short rows to create this incredible afghan.
While this is a bit advanced, you can do it if you know how to knit
and purl
DORSET BUTTONS
These are fun and easy to make.
Dorset Buttons complement a sweater perfectly because they are
custom-made to match your project!
CROCHETED/KNITTED YARMULKES
Makes a touching gift and keepsake that a family will cherish
forever.
CROCHETED GRANNY SQUARES
Crochet is hot! Used for both conventional afghans as well as
Bohemian garments, learning Granny Squares is a fun way to master
crochet. They’re addictive and so portable! We recommend that you
take a
beginning crochet class prior
to learning the Grannies.
ENTRELAC
Customers are always curious how to make this basket-weave stitch
which is really great for shawls, stoles and bags. Entrelac
especially works up great in Noro and hand-painted yarns. It’s easy
once you know how!
CROCHETED FLOWERS
These are fast and fun to make! Once you learn how, you can use any
weight yarn to make flowers as an embellishment or string a bunch
together to make an unusual belt, scarf or in this case, brooch!
REVERSIBLE CABLES
This fabulous technique looks beautiful on BOTH sides of the fabric.
We teach this technique as a scarf project but once you learn it,
reversible cables are great for shawls and throws as well!
