hours (Monday-Friday 10-5; Saturday 10-4) at (305) 682-1881 or you can drop by
the shop. Pre-payment is required with registration to secure your spot in the
class. Supplies are not included in the class fee, unless otherwise noted. Ask
for a supply list at the time of registration.

to Knit!Become a knitter in just one hour! Learn how to cast on and knit. (1 hour class) Learn to Crochet! In this class you'll learn the basics stitches of crochet: foundation chain and single crochet. The class project is a sampler dishcloth. Gift idea: Make a stack of crocheted washcloths from Robin Turner’s Pima Cotton and wrap around a bar of homemade soap. Tie with a yarn "ribbon." (1
hour class)UFO & Other Aliens Do you have a "UFO" (Un-Finished-Objects) hiding in your closet? We’ll get you started again, help you identify where you left off, and get past the mistake or confusion that keeps you from finishing! Sign up for this class and finish that UFO while enriching your knitting knowledge! The class is presented in two weekly sessions. Cost: $45.00 per person for a two-session workshop. ![]() Would you like to try a new approach to knitting socks? Try knitting them from the Toe Up! What’s the advantage? You won't have to count rows in the heel flap or pick up stitches for the gussets. No Kitchener stitch either. You can easily try on the sock as you knit. Intrigued? Join us for a four-session workshop. Cost: $90.00 per person. Do you panic when you see knitting charts? What do those silly chart symbols mean? Learn to make sense of them and knit from them with ease. Whenever you see lacy knitted items, whether they are shawls, scarves, sweaters or afghans, they always appear to be way too complicated to knit! Knitting charts are just one more handy technique you can put to work for you. Cost: $35.00 per person. ![]() We have a fun class planned out for kids, 5 years old and up. A bookmark, a belt or a hair tie can be knitted in just a few minutes. It requires no needles or hooks - just yarn and practice. Finger-style, they will learn to cast on and off and knit. They will create a knitted chain and then make a bracelet. Cost: $20.00 per person. Continental Knitting (and Purling) If you knit English/American style - carry the yarn in your right hand and “throw” it over the needle and you'd like to try a different method you might be interested in Continental Knitting. Learn how to knit and purl by carrying the yarn in your left hand. Continental knitting has a reputation of being the fastest knitting method and less stressful on the hands and wrists. ShawlHave you seen this knit-tastic shawl? The Phiaro by Katie Himmelberg is easy to knit but when finished it looks sooo exquisite and sophisticated! We offer you an improved GBOY version of Phiaro. to Knit SocksIsn’t it time you made your first sock? In this class you will learn how to knit socks from the cuff down using double point needles. This is a great way to get in the sock craze, but with one warning - once you start socks, there's no turning back! Cost: $80.00 per person for a four-session workshop, pattern included. The Finishing Touch Need to sew your sweater together, pick up some stitches or weave in ends? Let us teach you the skills needed to finish that project neatly and professionally: blocking, 3-needle bind-off (a clever join at the shoulders), mattress stitch (perfectly flat seams), and picking up stitches. KippahHand-made kippot are a nice and easy idea to make your family’s holidays special. Learn to crochet a kippah for yourself and as gifts for others. Beginning crochet skills required. Cost: $35.00 per person. Knitting Bloopers Learn basic techniques to help you fix your knitting mishaps, and possibly prevent them! We’ll talk about how to pick up dropped stitches, discuss several ways to un-knit, and learn to recognize what’s gone wrong and how to fix it. You’ll gain confidence as we practice on swatches in class. Cost: $35.00 per person. ![]() Entrelac Scarf Are you fascinated by those amazingly woven looking squares but have been hesitant to give them a try? Wait no more. This is Entrelac - the exquisite technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. It’s much easier than you think, not to mention slightly addictive! We will make a reversible Entrelac Scarf in two easy sessions. Prerequisite skills: cast on, knit, purl, bind off. Cost: $60.00
per person for a two-session class, pattern included.Crochet Edges for Knitters Have you ever avoided a sweater pattern because it was finished with a crochet edge? Then this is the class for you. We will be teaching a few very popular crochet stitches, such as the Crab and Clam stitches, to finish the edge of a knitted sweater. Prior knowledge of crocheting is not necessary.
